The purpose of this assignment was to learn how to use digital tools to clean up and improve work created in traditional media. We did this by combining traditional and digital techniques. Blips and drips were removed, contrast was improved, and contours were streamlined. 

This is the encyclopedic drawing version. It is realistic and includes texture.  It was draw with pencils and shaded to replicate the original photo. 

This is the original reference photo. This is the real bird that all of the pieces are based on. 

This is the logo. It was sketched with sharpie, then cleaned up and smoothed in Adobe Photoshop. 

This is the gesture drawing. It was meant to be drawn quick and freely. It was drawn with a flat end ink pen. 

This is the transformation drawing. I transformed my sparrow into the character Blu from the movie 'Rio'.  It was drawn with sharpie, and smoothed in Photoshop.

Lastly, this is the logo shrunk down in size. We did this to see if the logo will keep it's original look and not lose features.
